Things are never quite the way they were, eh?

Thank you for this update on you and yours. A loves bread, too--and anything I'm eating as long as it's not wet/slimy. Drives me nuts how picky she is.Kristenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10298517565254413222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14259322.post-82238573374613501252009-06-22T21:57:17.630-07:002009-06-22T21:57:17.630-07:00Thank you Mary. I am getting lots of rest. :)
A,...Thank you Mary. I am getting lots of rest. :)

A, it has been a quick recovery compared to what an older person might experience. I still have some healing to do. It may take up to a year to not have pain when I do certain things. I still get really tired much more quickly than I used to. I'm not complaining about the recovery process I've had. It could have been so much longer. I guess it just feels to me like I've been sick or recovering for the past year. At times it felt like I didn't even know my body at all! I'm just ready to feel like me again. :)
It's crazy to me how the mind and body can take over so completely after a major surgery. When I first came home from the hospital I remember thinking " I know I managed to take care of Hayden and Erin and the house all by myself before this, but I can't remember how." I literally could not remember how to do it all. Maybe it was my brains way of forcing me to rest and heal. I would blame it on drugs, but I was only on darvocet for about a week. I'm glad to not have that confused feeling anymore and to see my body returning to something like normal. :)Sandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06521088520231972617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14259322.post-87931167312545657222009-06-22T14:15:27.326-07:002009-06-22T14:15:27.326-07:00I'm sure this seems like a long drawn out proc...I'm sure this seems like a long drawn out process to you but it seems to me that you have progressed very quickly in your recovery. I'm so happy to hear that things are getting back to normal. Congratulations on the weddings... you are a go getter!
I hope you and Brandy have a wonderful visit. I'm sure being around you and your family is just what she needs right now.

You never cease to amaze me.aolahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12434882980698530258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14259322.post-889753423048788452009-06-21T16:27:56.365-07:002009-06-21T16:27:56.365-07:00Sandra,
