A time for everything.

My husbands most recent business venture, building/selling poker tables, has kept us busy. We've only made two (three if you count ours) but each one has been so different that we haven't mapped out a solid plan of attack for completing them. We were up well past midnight last night stapling vinyl to the arm rail and putting on coats of polyurethane. The table we just finished was in my opinion a monstrosity. The buyer, a graduate of Tennessee State, requested a grey center with an orange "T" airbrushed on, a white and orange checkerboard pattern for the beer rail, and white vinyl for the arm rest. We hand painted the checkerboard pattern and I am happy to say we will never do another. It was painstakingly tedious. For days, visions of checkerboard danced in my head.
This is the first table we made for ourselves.

We have one more almost order and then I hope we will take a small break from table making.
