On the eve of my 28th birthday my husband sent me to a 60 minute massage. It was bliss, even for me, a person who is normaly repulsed at the thought of being touched by a stranger. I can't say that I allowed myself to relax 100%, but I tried. Initially all I could think about was if I would get a ticket for parking my big ol truck in a compact space and how pissed I was at the gps unit for not being more clear about how to get to the spa. Slowly all of those thoughts melted away and I relaxed. I don't know that I'll become a massage addict, but It's something I will treat myself to again. Perhaps next time I'll go for the hot stone massage.
I do love this man of mine. :)

I have never had a massage,, maybe I will give it a try......... Great husband you have there......
Speaking of husbands..... Dennis is fine, he did go to the ER Monday morning.. two broken ribs and pulled muscles and tendons.. but other than that he is fine. Dr said he is one lucky man. I say he is one blessed man...
Have a great day....

Thank you both!
Aunt Denise, I am glad Dennis is okay. That must have been scarry.
28, So Young....
I'd say give yourself time to 'get into' the massage thing, it takes some getting used to.
I am a huge fan of the recuperative power of a good massage. When I was extremely ill, and had 2 very traumatic surgeries within 5 months, part of my healing was (after a time) to get regular massages.
I love the spa, it's one of my treat of all treat things.
The hot stone thing is wonderful, and so is the vischy shower thing. OHHHHH!
Ah, happy birthday, friendy!
Sorry i am late to the Happy Birthday page, but here i am, Sandra, wishing you a very happy 28.
Grace and Peace.
