The natural face lift, virtual training, and body love.

The girl and I ventured out to the salon today to trim the hairs and wax the brows. She, in an atempt to tame the unshapely duo, shaved off half of her brow about a month ago. It's finally grown out enough that a professional could make sense of it and so I introduced her to the pain that is facial hair waxing. She handled it very well and her reward is a lovely set of eye toppers and a cute new do to match. My cut is the same old thing I always get because I'm completely void of any new ideas and I'm trying to let my hair grow out a little. I must say that my eyebrows do look amazing! Having well shaped brows can make a dramatic difference.
In other matters of shape, I downloaded iTread Outdoors Set 6 from iTRAIN. What a nifty little idea that site is! I am so excited to have some direction for my morning walks. I was looking for a way to challenge myself and it looks like I've found it! It's downloading to my Sansa now. Hopefully it won't be raining tomorrow and I'll be able to try it out.
Did anyone else see "How To Look Good Naked"? After only one episode, I'm in love! What an amazing show! There's a link on their website to watch the premire episode. Go watch it and share in the body love!

It's good to feel a little groomed, huh?

I'm off to watch the video--I had to miss the premiere due to a wedding, but the show is one of my myspace friends already! :) I love that they include pregnant figures in their body type section! That is so cool! (I have been wondering why more websites don't do this.)

For my eyebrows, I have used that NAD's stuff from the store for years. I love it. It works like wax only it's not as unforgiving. If you goof up, you just wash it off.

Plus, I loved their early commercials before they understood American colloquialisms.

"Does your husband make fun of your hairy legs? REACH FOR THE NADS!" LOL

love freshly waxed eyebrows
I was reading "American Childhood" by Annie Dillard last night and so thought of Erin. She's describing her teenage years, that feeling of your skin just not fitting . . .

Hi Sandra, my name is Debbie. I am friends with Aola. I live in Ada also. It just struck me looking at some of your pictures that I once went to church with you and your 2 sisters and Mom. I remember your pretty blonde hair. I read your Grandpa's blog sometimes and he reminds me so much of my Dad. Such a sweet nature. Anyways, just wanted to say "hi" and say I remember you from Restoration days :)

Hum...let's see. I have a 22 year old son, a 19 year old son, 17 year old daughter, and a 6 year old daughter, of course the 6 year old wasn't born back then. My ex husband's name was Vince. I was overweight (still am) lol brunette hair, blue eyes. After we left Restoration, we went to Grace. I was and still am good friends with Seeker's wife, Kelly. Does that help any?

Yes! I remember you now! I e-mailed A for help too. As soon as she said Vince's name I was able to place the two of you together. That was soo long ago! It's great to hear how some of the old Restoration group is doing.

I don't know if it is good or bad to be recognzied as Vince's ex or not. lol. We get along fine now, but haven't always. lol It works much better for the kiddos anyways. It's amazing how many Oklahoma folks end up in California. I lived in Sacramento for 2 years with my current husband. Our daughter was born there. I liked California in alot of ways. I definitely miss Lake Tahoe. We were married there. How long did you guys stay at Restoration? Was Ron still pastor then?

There are a lot of Oklahomans here! Where? I haven't met any. I wish I would though. Lake Tahoe is so beautiful! What made you head back to OK?
We stayed at Restoration long after Ron left. I left when I was 19 and my mom and sister left soon after.

Well my family was here and my kids didn't want to move to California, so we closed my hubby's business down and moved back to Ada. My husband knows alot of people who live in Okla that used to live in Calif and vice versa. I met a few at places I worked in Sacramento. It was weird. lol My oldest son is now in the Air Force and stationed near Tacoma,WA so we would kinda like to move back in that area. We promised our oldest daughter we would stay in Ok until she graduates and that is next year. We will just have the 6 year old left in school at that point. My email address is calimansangel@yahoo.com if you want to email me :) I miss Tahoe terribly and the ocean too :) It is so peaceful listening to the ocean and just being around it. I feel the same about the mountains. I would move back to Calif, but not Sacramento. Probably closer to Tahoe.
