A hush rushes the waking of the sun.
Gold and glittering
it yawns and stretches
in shades of peach and pink.
Blanketed in white
the earth shivers.
Smoke from neighboring chimneys
climbs it's way effortlessly towards
the pale blue winter sky.
slowly
the
sun
rises
lifting its one sleepy eye
just above the horizon
and everything sparkles.
