For those of you who would like it, here is the recipe for the Lumpia and the wrappers although I really recommend buying the wrappers if you can find them. David is looking for them where he works since it's a bigger city with more of a variety than the local grocery stores.
I used the leftover ground pork to make my own version of moo shoo pork. I pan fried the pork and then added in green cabbage chopped very thin, green onions, shallots, and chopped mushrooms. I let that cook over a low heat and added in some soy sauce. While it was cooking I made some Mandarin pancakes. I used a little plum sauce to top them off but decided I like the hoisin sauce better. I have enough of the dough for the pancakes and the ingredients for the moo shoo pork to make it tomorrow for lunch. I hope David likes it. We both love moo shoo pork, but haven't found a restaurant here that serves it. Most of the Asian restaurants here serve very Americanized Asian food, meaning chunks of chicken or beef in super sweet sauces. And they are all buffet style. Have I mentioned that I hate buffets?

I also hate buffets. I don't think I have ever been to a buffet where the food was above average. I think the point of them is quantity over quality!

Your Moo Shoo Pork sounds delicious! I LOVE new asian recipes. We also have no good chinese/japanese/thai/indian food around here and I miss it terribly. I now just prefer to make it at home. It is still not the same as restaurants that I loved in Oregon, but it is a million times better than our restaurants!

Not a fan of buffets either, mainly because there is very little conversation with everyone getting up constantly. And the food is usually subpar. But my folks love 'em so we do it sometimes. :)

The whole sharing of food dishes with other people freaks me out..

I totally agree, A! I do not like that I am taking food from a bowl that countless others have also dipped into. Gives me the creeps!

There is this little chinese joint here by the grocery store that looks like a dump until you walk inside. Their menu looks very ordinary, but their food is absolutely fantastic.

No buffet, just great food. Not expensive either.

It's also 3 doors down from one of the best Thai places Ive ever eaten at.
